HOW TO

  • Select favorite images from the Instant Art Collage Book, magazines or newspapers.
  • Melt Clear UTEE in The Melting Pot and add in 1/4 scoop of FLEX to the pot. Once everything has completely melted THEN you may stir slowly using the Kool Toolz Spatula.
  • Grease up the inside of the cookie cutter with clear embossing ink (similar to Glycerin) or some other type of release agent.
  • Place the cookie cutter on top of the selected image.
  • Pour Clear UTEE into the cookie cutter, ONLY ABOUT 1/2 WAY.... no more than that. You are pouring directly on top of your selected image.
  • Allow UTEE to completely harden.
  • Cut around the cutter (with image intact) and drop into a container of warm water....or take to a running tap.
  • The UTEE image will slip out of the cutter. With the help of the water, begin fingering off the paper from the backside of the UTEE. A gentle back & forth movement will release most of the paper. Please don't use anything harsh, like a Brillo pad -it will scrap off the image on the UTEE.
  • After the paper is removed, rub on some of the Ranger Perfect Medium on the back on the UTEE piece.
  • Dust on some Ranger Perfect Pearls in a strong metallic color. This adds a warm glow through the transparent piece.
  • Use Zap-a-Gap Super Glue to adhere the sterling silver Pin Bale to the back on the UTEE piece and now you can string it on a necklace.

NOTE If you want to have jump rings in your piece, pierce through the solid UTEE using a thin tip on a wood burning tool. Tge heat from this tip will melt right through the UTEE and make a hole.
