DIRECTIONS
Put Wooden Tray on Non stick craft sheet and paint it. The dried paint will easily lift off the sheet when cured.
After paint is thoroughly dry, stamp your image around the outside and, if necessary, heat set using a heat gun.
If desired, use a paint pen to add little dots or squiggle designs.
In one pot melt Clear UTEE and add a few drops of Yellow To Dye For ink. Stir well using the heat resistant Kool Toolz Spatula.
In the 2nd pot melt a favorite color of UTEE (like Gold) and sprinkle in other colors of UTEE (or other favorite embossing powders) but DO NOT MIX or STIR.
When the 2nd pot has fully melted (remember don't stir) pour it all out onto the embossing craft sheet using a circular motion to create amazing agate patterns.
Allow this mixture to cure and harden thoroughly before lifting. It needs to remain warm in order to cut.
Using good scissors (we love our Teflon ones) cut the large piece of UTEE down into several unusual small shapes. These will be your agate mosaics.
Adhere a piece of Wonder Tape to the bottomn of each piece and place it in a nice pattern in the tray. Wonder Tape is permament & will hold everything down.
To create the illusion that the agates are under glass, pour the pot of yellow tinted UTEE over them. This may take more than one melting & pouring so try to get a nice, thin & even coating on the first pass. You can continue to build it up.
When everything has hardened, do your final embellishment using Glitter Glue from our Puttin' on the Glitz Glitter Glue kit. Let the glitter glue dry overnight.
This tray is not only unsual it is also functional. But, don't place very hot objects on it...remember it can start to remelt!
